Telescopic Handler course

  • A telescopic handler, also known as a telehandler, is a widely used lifting truck. It has an extending boom and low height, giving it increased versatility. The boom can be fitted with several attachments.
  • Course Duration – Novice 5 Days / Testing 1 Day
  • Location – On or off-site, subject to Awarding Body test specifications
  • Awarding Body – CPCS or NPORS
  • Cost – Novice From £1,200 & EWT from £350

  • Hazards and danger in the work place, risk assessments, SSOW
  • Machine type and uses, controls and safety features, SWL charts
  • Use of Manufacturers information & Pre-use inspection, PUWER & LOLER forms
  • Carry out manoeuvre, stacking, de-stacking of loads
  • Loading and unloading of vehicles
  • Use of attachments
  • Safe parking of the machine
  • Theory test
  • Practical test
