This City & Guilds level 2 qualification is for anyone entering a confined space. This could be to carry out work as an entry controller/ top person supporting entry or conducting emergency rescue and recovery. The course aims to reflect the national occupational standard for a medium-risk confined space environment.

This course is for anyone working in a classified medium-risk environment over 16 years of age and is medically fit to take the qualification

- Identification of a confined space
- Confined space classifications:
- Water industry national classifications
- National occupational standard
- Risk assessment & workplace safety
- Operation of a safe system of work
- Following and preparing a method statement
- Use of permit to work control measures
- Emergency planning

- Traversing – simple vertical entry
On course completition
Delegates successfully completing the course will be issued with a Certification by City & Guilds which is valid for 3 years.
